Hello And Welcome To Our Site
Emersons Green TKD is a TAGB Tae Kwon-Do Club on the outskirts of Bristol, near Yate. The area is a newly developed part of South Gloucestershire and has many local facilities. The club was first opened in May 2004 and since then has had a great deal of success in both gradings and in competitions.
All TAGB Tae Kwon-Do Instructors have been fully CRB [Criminal Records Bureau] checked to the highest level as they work with Children. The TAGB itself is a driving force within modern Martial Arts and has been a major player in the development of Tae Kwon-Do Globally.
We Teach students from the age of 4 upwards, for this reason we take the teaching of the young very seriously and ensure that they will learn in a safe and secure environment. Parents are invited to stay and watch lessons for as long as they want to ensure that they are happy their children are being well looked after and are happy whilst learning Tae Kwon-Do with us. Please see the "Visitors" page for more details.
| Wednesdays | Saturdays | |
| Juniors (4-11yrs) | 5:30 - 6:30pm | 12:00 - 1:00pm |
| Adults (12+yrs) | 6:30 - 7:30pm | 1:00 - 2:00pm |
On the last Saturday of every month, normal lessons will be replaced with our cardio-fit sessions. With the Juniors we will hold a mini cardio-fit session, allowing them to try our some of the exercises, but keeping the class set-up normal (with doboks and belts etc). With the Adults we expect all students to turn up in Dobok bottoms / combat bottoms and a loose fitting suitable T-shirt but no belt. The lessons will be fairly strenuous but informal, aimed at improving cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, speed and sparring ability with a variety of challenging but enjoyable activities using an array of fitness equipment from pads to hurdles. Grade will not matter, the Black Belts will sweat with the beginners, as all activities are non-syllabus and aimed at being challenging but suitable for all levels of ability.
Dates of Sessions in 2011: Sat 17th Dec.
